In addition to the OS Sitemap and OS Landplan family of products that are primarily for
use in the commercial sector, Ordnance Survey publish the well known folded,
colour maps that are suitable for a wide range of different outdoor
activities. See below for information on the different series and follow the
locate links to browse for a map, or search the
gazetteer to locate the maps covering the place you are interested
in.
Scale 1:25 000 (4 cm to 1 km or 2½ inches to 1 mile)
These detailed maps, covering all of England, Scotland and Wales,
are perfect for walkers, cyclists and all countryside activities.
Explorer maps are based geographically to cater for regional tourism.
Many are double sided to give extra area coverage. Up to 800 square
kilometres on each map.
Please note: the Outdoor Leisure and Pathfinder map series have now
been integrated with the Explorer map series.

The Landranger is an all-purpose map packed full of information to
help you really get to know an area and visit the sights. The 204 maps
cover an area 40 km by 40 km (25 miles by 25 miles) which also make them
ideal for finding that place of interest or planning an outdoor activity.

There are eight Road maps in the series which covers the
whole of Great Britain. All motorways, A roads and B roads are
marked, making route planning simple.

Also available is the Routeplanner Map which
covers the whole country on one map. It features clear current mapping
